“Vesilennukite angaar. Lennukuurist muuseumiks” Book

The seaplane hangar in Tallinn Airport is undoubtedly one of the most unique buildings in Estonia, built and designed by the Danish company Cristiani & Nielsen in 1916–1917. The book, richly illustrated with historical and contemporary photographs and drawings, describes in detail the construction of Peter the Great’s fortress and hangar and their nearly 100-year-old colorful history to the present day. In addition to the history, the chapters of the book talk about the uniqueness of the hangar from an engineering point of view as well as the neighboring Patarei prison. Most of the photos and drawings will reach readers for the first time.

Interesting reading for everyone, a must for anyone interested in history and architecture!
