Wooden Cutter boat

Wooden Cutter boat

In the past, the cutter was a two-masted fishing vessel, less commonly a merchant vessel used in the Baltic and North Seas. The cutter was longitudinally sailing, with fork sails on both masts with top sails and two foresailing above the vertical stem and almost horizontal bowsprit. In the 20th century, the cutter was used as a motor sail and was called a “fish cutter”. The fishcutter was 18 m long, 5.6 m wide, 2.4 m high and with tonnage up to 100 t.
